Hey, i just reinstalled my gateway laptop (P6831FX) with vista 32 bit which is what the laptop came with, but now my wifi doesn't work
i have an Intel(R) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN, and i updated all the drivers, and i can't seem to troubleshoot the problem.
manual diagnostics says that my wireless adapter is uninstalled or disabled, but i have updated its drivers and the device manager says that it is ready to use. honestly, i have no idea how to fix this or whats wrong, but if someone can help me that would be great.
some things to note are:
Intel(R) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN came with the laptop
vista 32-bit came with the laptop
all i did was reinstall vista
drivers are up-to-date
im not finding any wireless connections
my wireless should be enabled, there are buttons that turn it on or off, but i have it on, so that cant be the problem
it failed hardware test
not too sure what else to mention, but ill answer any questions if it helps

Here are the links to download software and drivers for 4965AGN, Vista 32Bit:
4965AGN vista 32bit drivers only

If you are currently using the same driver and software, I suggest you check Gateway for tested drivers. The drivers provided in Intel websites are not actually tested on the different branded laptops. hope this helps.
