Here are the list of Intel (R) Desktop Boards that are of the '865' family series.
Now if you want to compare certain things like the pin out, jumpers, connectors etc between the intel boards and the one from Dell, i dont think that they would be comparable at all.
All the best,
Thanks for your quick response but that information is not helpful. I've already looked through those different boards to compare to the one I have and none of them match. The 'Dell' board actually says 'Intel Desktop Board D865GVDS' so I thought it would be an Intel part. There were some similarities to the D865GVHZ board but it was not exactly the same. Dell obviously does not have any support for motherboards so I have been unable to find any information on their site. Again thanks for your reply.
The reason why you can't find any info on the intel site isbecause it is an OEM motherboard...W
I understand that this is an OEM motherboard... but isn't there any documentation available (internally) that is provided to Dell tech reps or any documentation at all for this motherboard? I would imagine that there is still some kind of documentation out there it just isn't 'published' publicly... Am I completely wrong in thinking this?
