My Alienware M15x runs horrible on battery with speedstep enabled. When disabled, the laptop runs great... but I've noticed that turbo boost is no longer enabled in Windows.
In BIOS speedstep is disabled and turbo boost is still enabled.
Any idea how to keep speedstep disabled and still have turbo boost function?
Or is there any way to enable speedstep in bios and pretty much keep it from functioning in Windows?

I confirm a requirement for Intel® Turbo Boost Technology is to have Enhanced Intel SpeedStep(R) Technology (EIST) turned on.
