intel rts used for optane acceleration of secondary HDD broken with latest update

after installing 16.7 RST would no longer open and i was getting random timed BSOD's stating DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE

 

after reverting back to 16.5 the app functions properly and the BSOD's have stopped.

yes i did try repairing it multiple times and also couldn't uninstall to perform a clean install due to optane acceleration being activated.

As we understand, you need assistance with your Intel® Optane™ Memory. If we infer correctly we will appreciate if you can provide us with the following information:

 

  • A screenshot of the "Disk Management" of windows showing all your HDDs and partitions.
  • We advise you to follow the configuration guide available in your original equipment manufacturer (OEM) to disable the Optane from your motherboard BIOS in case that you want to reinstall your OS.
