Constant I/O from iastordatasvc

I am running Win 7 64 on a Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD7. I have constant I/O from the iastordatasvc software from Intel for the RAID drives. Symantec Service Framework seems to have associated I/O (just from looking at task Manager). Can anyone explain how to stop that? My drives are pretty much alwqys showing activity. this seems wrong.
