The 4965 wifi card causes a short-circuit when I install it in a laptop

I have a Toshiba laptop with a 3945 wifi card.I have decided to change it for a 4965 wifi card working fine on another Toshiba laptop.

When I turn on the laptop and it boot, it stop after 3 seconds and it begin to boot again, and so indefinitely.

Somebody know what es the problem ?

The card may be faulty. or try install on another laptop just to be sure.

This 4065 work fine on another laptop ( a Toshiba A300).On my laptop ( a Toshiba L100).

causes the short-circuit.

The interface for all is mini pci-e. I can't understand why to boot, causa the short-circuit.

maybe the short circuit is on the laptop's mini pci-e slot.

and why if I put in the laptop the Intel 3945abg wifi card, it is working fine ?

sorry. didn't notice that you have a 3945 card in it. well, if that the case, that means you can't use the 4965 on your toshiba.

Before the test, talk to a Toshiba technician in Spain and told me there would be no problems. I have sended an e-mail to Toshiba support asking if there is a reason for it.
