I've been searching for a matrix/template of BIOS (dx38bt mobo) configuration regarding overclocking my QX9650 (can't beat it for $320.00)... I've found countless bad experiences and headache -but everything was very dated...
Assuming I'm running the latest Intel DX38BT BIOS, and I'm using a QX9650, is there an "official" matrix that details what value(s) are needed to achieve my desired clock speed... -does Intel have a tool/calculator that will let me plug in my processor, desired speed, FSB, memory info, etc and output the corresponding BIOS values to make this possible???
Nope sorry there is nothign official at all. As far as intel goes you are on your own for overclocking.
Half the fun is that you have to play around and test with different settings values....
these are a good place to start though : http://forums.hexus.net/hexus-hardware/103676-c2d-overclocking-guide-beginners.html
