The SSD is not preformatted or partitioned.
My advise is do not ghost your drive onto the SSD. I have assisted far to many who have done this and, for some reason, something has not gone right resulting in sub-par performance. In the end, they all ended up completing a fresh install. My Computer and Win7 Optimization Guide will assist with this while The SSD Review will help with any number of other questions.
Surely there has been some out there that have had success?
I have Windows XP and Ghost 2003. I Ghosted my system to my Intel SSD,no problems.
I have successfully ghosted to an Intel SSD several times without issue -- both XP and Win 7.
