Is T150 (Intel RealSense Tracking Module T150) compatible with Intel RealSense Depth Camera D435?

We are going to buy a T150, but we don't know whether it compatible with D435 and who we can program it, linux C++ or windows VS?

I searched online and i still can buy it in some Canadian stores.

Could you please let me whether it is compatible with D435 and which system or programming language we can do further development?

Thanks for your help!

RealSense SDK 2.0 does support the T150 tracking module, though the extent of the support is limited.

Although the data sheet document no longer contains details of the tracking module from the March 2018 edition onwards, the January 2018 edition does have details, starting on page 41.

Thanks for your reply.

Our research group already bought D435, and now what we want is add an external tracking module.

That's why I asked whether T150 compatible.

So my question is

1. whether T150 compatible with D435?

2. is there other tracking module compatible with D435?

3. in the result of question 2, which are limited/non-limited support, can we do further development by ourselves?

Thank you very much!

It is important to mention that the T150 tracking module attaches to the Vision Processor D4 circuit board via a 50-pin connector on the D4. This makes it suitable for the caseless Module Kit versions of the 400 Series cameras (e.g D430), rather than the cased USB models such as D415 and D435.

If you opt for a caseless module board, also bear in mind that only the D415 Module Kit board has an RGB sensor.

Intel do not provide for your own choice of sensors on the tracking module connector.

If you are interested in purchasing one of the caseless RealSense 400 Series camera modules, they (and the Vision Processor D4 component too) can be supplied by the highly reputable company FRAMOS.

Thanks for you patient answer.

Can you tell me whether T150 is compatible with D435? YES or NO?

This is the only question now.

Thank you.

I cannot see any situation where using T150 with a D435 would be practical due to the D435's casing. In theory you might be able to take the casing off and expose the D430 module inside to connect the T150 to the D4 board. You would instantly invalidate the D435's sales warranty by opening it up though. It would be better to get a D430 from FRAMOS.

I have no knowledge though of how the T150 functions with 400 Series cameras. So purchasing one would be a risk only worth it if you can afford to write off its cost if it does not work out.
