    AC 9260 in Windows 10 Device Manager but can't find connections

      The title pretty much says it all. I've installed an AC 9260 on a third-party PCIE-X1 card and I cannot connect to my wireless network. Device Manager says the card has been installed correctly and - in fact - Windows has installed the most up-to-date driver for it. The system gives the message "No connections available." When I switch back to my USB wi-fi dongle, the system connects to my network immediately.

       

      My computer is a Dell Inspiron 518 and the operating system is Windows 10 with all the latest updates. The PCIE-X1 card is this one:

      I'm stumped. Can anyone tell me what the issue might be?

          Thank you for joining the community.
           
          I see that you are having problems to access wireless connection with the Intel® Wireless-AC 9260, allow me to help you with the inquiries.
           
          In order to help you better, I would like to gather more information about the configuration you have on the computer.  Please attach to this thread the TXT file the Intel® System Support Utility will generate: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility
          Steps to save the report:

          1. Run the utility.
          2. Click on “Scan” to get the scanned system.
          3. Once the scan is complete click on “next”.
          4. Use the “save” option, save the report to your desktop.
          5. To attach a file, you must click the “Attach” option on the bottom right-hand corner of the response box.
           
          Could you provide me with a picture of the device manager showing the driver version installed for the Intel® Wireless-AC 9260 installed on your system?
           
          • Go to the device manager.
          • Find the Intel® Wireless-AC 9260 in the network adapters’ dropdown.
          • Right click on it, select properties.
          • Go to the driver tab.
