    Duel channel vs quad channel

I'm building a new machine for 4K video editing using the latest Adobe CC suite of products.  I keep finding very conflicting information on memory channels.

      Here's the build specs:

      Motherboard:

GIGABYTE X299 UD4 Pro Intel Motherboard

      • Intel X299
      • Core X series (LGA2066)

      CPU

      Intel Core i9-7920X Skylake X 12-Core 2.9 GHz LGA 2066 140W BX80673I97920X

      GPU:

      PNY Quadro P2000 VCQP2000-PB 5GB 160-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 Video Card

      RAM:

      HyperX Fury 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 2666MHz DRAM (Desktop Memory) CL16 1.2V Black DIMM (288-pin) HX426C16FBK2/32

So the question is this, do I gain significant performance switching to 4X8GB chips over the current planned 2x16GB keeping in mine my intention to increase the RAM to 64GB within the next 90 days.
