Hello, NigelT1. Thank you very much for contacting the Intel Communities Team. I will be more than happy to assist you.
In order for me to assist you better, please provide me with a DxDiag* report. Please follow these steps to generate it:
1. In the keyboard, press WinLogo key + R.
2. In the Run box please type dxdiag and hit Enter.
3. Click on Save All Information (save it in your desktop).
4. Attach the .txt file that was generated. To attach a file, you must click the “Attach” option on the bottom right-hand corner of the response box.
Thank you very much for coming back to me on this problem.
Apologies for the delay in response. Unfortunately your email got caught by my spam filter.
I have run the report in accordance with your guidance which is attached hereto. I am also attaching the Intel health assessment which I ran a couple of days ago.
I am not a computer expert, but have been trying to find a reference to the hdmi port under the path - Control Panel - Hardware and Sound - Device Manager, but nothing shows up if this has any relevance to the problem? I don't give up easily and have spent quite a lot of time trying to fix this.
I am therefore very grateful for your assistance, as I have just about exhausted all the advice on the various web forums and Acer's website but without success.
I have also checked to ensure that the HDMI cables are high speed, which they are.
Thanks once again. I look forward to receiving your opinion on what might have gone wrong here.
Thank you very much for your detailed report, NigelT1.
I can see that you have installed the latest generic Intel® HD Graphics drivers. Please install the latest graphics drivers provided by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). Here is the download link: https://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/Driver/VGA/VGA_Intel_v10.18.10.3304_W81x64_A.zip?acerid=635168194355700056&Step1=ULTRA-THIN&Step2=ASPIRE&Step3=ASPIRE%20V5-571&OS=ALL&LC=en&BC=ACER&SC=PA_6
In addition, please let me know which is the model of your TV.
Let us know how it goes.
Hi Antony, sorry for the delay in coming back to you. I managed to download the latest graphic drivers with the link above, but they have not installed. I was expecting that they would install automatically. I am assuming that there is nothing that needs to be uninstalled, before the latest graphics drivers will install? Thanks
Thank you for your response, NigelT1.
You should be able to install the drivers attached above since they are provided by your system manufacturer. Here is the download link where you can find the Intel drivers.
Then, I would like to know if the TV works with other devices connected via HDMI*. Furthermore, have you tried connecting your laptop to other displays or TVs? Have you tried other HDMI* cables?
