You can access the compatibility pages for the NUC products using this link: Intel® Product Compatibility Tool. In the (left-hand) Products column, click on Intel° NUC then Mini PCs then NUC7i7BNKQ and then Memory Modules. Remember that the modules listed here are just those that have been formally tested in Intel's compatibility labs; there are many others that very well could be compatible but have never been formally tested (usually because manufacturers have not provided Intel with samples).
After installing the new SODIMMs, there is really nothing that you have to do. As you say, just install them and you should be good to go. Now, when I do this, I usually run a test cycle using MemTest86+ to ensure that the memory is properly and completely exercised before I use it. This is completely optional, however.
