Двухдиапазонный адаптер Intel® Wireless-AC 3168

Добрый вечер , в настройках этого адаптера нет отдельного параметра режима N на частоте 2,4 ГГЦ , как его лучше настроить , чтобы скорость была постоянной - 150 Мбит/сек , а не менялась с 75 до 150 ?

Hello Nicko_9,

Thanks for using our Communities, we are posting our reply in English since this is the language supported in this forum. Using our online translator we understand you would like to set the wireless mode in your adapter to use 802.11n.

We would like to inform that the setting 802.11n Mode is available only for the legacy adapters. For current adapters such as the AC 3168, we use the HT Mode setting. If your goal is to set the adapter for 802.11n, you can set the adapter to HT Mode: HT.

Keep in mind the the default setting is VHT (very high troughput), which allows 802.11ac data rates, as well as backwards compatibility with 802.11n networks.

For additional details, please check the following documents:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005544/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking.html Recommended Settings for 802.11n Connectivity

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000024678/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking.html Recommended Settings for 802.11ac Connectivity

Please let us know if you have additional questions about this topic, or if the system is showing any issues.

Regards,

Hello Nicko_9,

You are correct, the options available for the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 3168 and other Intel 802.11ac adapters are only the ones explained in the documents we provided before. You can configure the advanced settings to match older access points and wireless technologies. As you suggested, you would need a dual band router to take full advantage of the adapter capabilities.

We hope this information helps you.

Покупать другой роутер - пока нет возможности , можно просто добавить пункт настройки - 2.4 ГГц 802.11N и было бы куда лучше и проще , скорость будет постоянной , а не прыгать .

Hello Nicko_9,

I am not sure I understood correctly, however, I would like to clarify that the AC 3168 is fully compatible with the 2.4 GHz band and 802.11n. It should be able to reach 150 Mbps if you use the https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005544/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking.html Recommended Settings for 802.11n Connectivity.

Please keep in mind that in addition to the "Wireless Mode" option, you also have the "HT Mode" setting, which determines the supported data rates, or Throughput mode, where:

HT=High=11n

VHT=Very High=11ac

Regarding the data rate shown in the Windows* connection properties, this can be affected be external factors, such as signal quality, interference, distance to the Access Point, router configuration, antenna or hardware issues, etc. This value can fluctuate over time depending on the environment.

Hello Nicko_9,

If the connection is not stable even when the computer is close to the access point, it may be due to interference or hardware problems (antenna, adapter). You might want to check on this with the https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/topics/OEMs.html Computer Manufacturer Support.

From our end, here are a couple recommendations that may help improve connectivity:

- Disable Bluetooth*. Some PC's have the option to disable it with a hardware switch or in the BIOS. This can also be done from Windows* Settings or Device Manager. For more information please check this document: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000007003/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking.html Bluetooth® Technology Management and Configuration.

- Set the the Wireless adapter power plan for Maximum Performance when plugged in and on battery. Please check this document for details: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005879/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking.html Setting Power Management for Intel® Wireless Adapters.

If the issue persists after these actions, we would advise you to contact the computer manufacturer.

Hello Nicko_9,

I apologize for the misunderstanding, we had referred to this in our previous replies. In your adapter, the setting used to specify 802.11n is "HT mode" or "802.11n/ac/ Wireless Mode". You can set it to VHT=Very High Throughput as it allows 802.11ac and 802.11n; or, you can use HT=High Throughput for 802.11n connectivity. If you set it to Disabled, it will be limited to 802.11a/g rates.

The setting "802.11n Mode" is available only for legacy adapters and will not be added back to current generations.

Please review the following documents for more details about this:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005544/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking.html Recommended Settings for 802.11n Connectivity

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005585/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking.html Advanced Intel® Wireless Adapter Settings

Please go though the documents and our previous recommendations. Keep in mind that the actual data rate, shown in the connection properties, varies depending on the signal quality and connection to the router. If you consider that the connection is not working well after the steps recommended, we would advise you to contact the Computer Manufacturer Support.
