Emerald Lake was Intel's customer reference board (CRB) design for the Huron River mobile platform. Huron River represents the 7th generation of the Centrino technology package. It combined a Sandy Bridge processor with a Cougar Point chipset. The CRBs were never sold as products. Instead, the CRB designs were freely provided to manufacturers and used by them as a baseline for their own product designs. As Al noted, a number of these manufacturers ship products that include references to the Emerald Lake and Emerson Lake 2 CRB designs in the silk screen of their motherboards.
