Hello Haziq,
We've moved your thread over to our /community/tech/wireless Wireless Networking Support Community
We understand you're only able to detect networks broadcasting in the 2.4 GHz band using your Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265.
In order to better assist you, we would like for you to share an Intel® System Support Utility report:
1. Download the latest https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293 Intel® SSU
2. While connected to your WiFi network, run the scan for "everything."
3. Save and name the report.
Also, what is the brand and model of your wireless router/access point? Have you tested on different networks?
As far as your wireless mode settings go, this is expected. The wireless mode settings only control the 802.11a/b/g standard settings. Wireless-N and AC (802.11n/ac) are handled by your HT Mode setting (later renamed to "802.11n/ac Wireless Mode"). See: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005585/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking.html/.html Advanced Intel® Wireless Adapter Settings
We look forward to hearing back from you.
Best regards,
Carlos A.
