DAK if port 60/64 Emulation works and what it achieves exactly?
I find that FreeBSD 8.0 amd64 doesn't detect a legacy keyboard because the kernel gets 0xff when it reads from port 0x64 (using an "in" instruction). Is port 60/64 Emulation supposed to make that work?
It is correct that there is no legacy keyboard controller on that board. Port 60/64 emulation is there to help work around problems you may experience with software that assumes the legacy KBC is present on systems that do not have that hardware.
