I have an HP Z6 G4 workstation with an Intel C622 chipset, running Win 10 Pro. All Windows updates since purchasing the machine a few months ago have installed without problems. However, the major April 2018 update will not install, giving me the error message "This device isn't compatible in Windows 10. Contact the manufacturer for more info. Intel C600+/C220+ series chipset sSATA RAID Controller."
HP has an update for the chipset, and suggested installing that, and assured me that would take care of the problem. But in spite of multiple attempts, and multiple re-bootings, the update seems to go fine, finishes, and then an HP utility window pops up that tells me the installation was not successful. So far HP has not been able to figure out what's going on.
Does anyone have any ideas?
