I understand that you are having problems when restarting the system since the app-profile feature no longer switches or applies the profiles.
Regarding this issue, what I could recommend you to do is the following:
1. Uninstall the program from your computer completely by going to the programs & features and fully removing it.
2. Reboot the computer after uninstalling the software.
3. Download the Intel ® XTU from the link below:
4. Install the program again using the executable you just downloaded and once the installation is complete, reboot the system.
Once the steps are complete, please attempt to use the software normally and let us know if the issue persists.
