After I had a thermal problem with my (5 years) old CPU I replaced the motherboard (to DG45ID) and the CUP (E8500).
I aded my old HD (2xBlue Caviar 320GB in raid), DVD (LG) and memory (2xKVR667D2N5/1G and 2xKVR667D2N5/1G-SP).
After I set up the system and tried install Window 7 I got a non-consistent error about memory (mostly BSOD), so I burned a CD with Windows Memory Diagnostic and run it with extended test over-night. I had 4 full cycles of the test with no error.
I started to play with the memory sticks and after a long day ruled out one KVR667D2N5/1G and one 2xKVR667D2N5/1G-SP!
Now I have a Windows 7 installation with 2GB - but I wany 4!!!
My question is, how can I be sure that the problem not with the new hardware or OS?
