    SandForce 200026BB

    Dimitriintel

      Hello,

I have issue with my SSD Pro 2500 series 180Gb.

It is identified by PC time to time as SandForce 200026BB with 0GB.

If I will try to power off/on my PC few times, it can be identified as Intel SSD and after that working fine.

I tried to update firmware on this ssd using issdfut_64_3.0.1.iso and issdfut_2.0.15.iso, both said that I am using latest version of firmware and no update is required.

Please help me to get this issue fixed.

          Hello Dimitriintel,

Thank you for your interest in the Intel® SSD Pro 2500 Series.

I understand that you are experiencing an intermittent issue regarding the misidentification of your SSD.

In order to provide the adequate assistance, please share the report generated by the Intel® System Support Utility for Windows* (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility-for-Windows-)? In case you have a Linux OS, please share the corresponding report (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26735/).

Additionally, could you please tell me if you have tested the SSD in another PC?

Some users were able to solve the same issue that you are experiencing by disabling the SSD’s DevSleep feature. Please follow this instructions https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000020919/memory-and-storage.html and share the outcome with us.

I’ll be waiting for your response.

          Regards,
          Andres V.

            Hi Andres.

            Thank you for prompt reply.

Yes, I tested these SSDs with another PCs/laptops, everywhere the same issue, time-to-time they are identified as "SandForce{200026BB}".

Such issue can be during first start(most likely) or after some time since PC startup.

F.e. in the report below you may see that I have two such SSDs with my laptop, one identified as "SandForce{200026BB}".

However when I started my laptop both were identified correctly, just after some time of work one "died".

As I mentioned earlier, I tried the FW upgrade, but it says my SSDs are up to date and no f/w upgrade is required for me.

Please see below the report generated by SSU:

It looks to me as if this SSD has a component that is failing once the drive heats up. The SSD will need to be replaced. If it is still under warranty (check here: Determine if Your Product Is Still Under Warranty), then you can arrange to have it replaced by directly contacting Intel Customer Support and setting up an RMA. Here is contact information, by geography:

Intel Customer Support Contact Information for US and Canada

Intel Customer Support Contact Information for Europe, Middle East and Africa

Intel Customer Support Contact Information for Asia-Pacific

Intel Customer Support Contact Information for Latin America

I do not recommend using the forms service; I see way too many complaints from people attempting to use it. Your best bet is to phone ICS directly using the number indicated for your country. You can also try using the Intel Customer Support Chat Service if you wish, but understand that it is offered in English only and is subject to office hours (9-5 M-F) in the Pacific time zone.

              Hope this helps,

              ...S
