"Timestamp from External sensors"

According to https://github.com/IntelRealSense/librealsense/blob/master/doc/rs400/external_devices.md librealsense/doc/rs400/external_devices.md, the D430 supports external signal timestamping, by enabling a gpio input stream. The D415 has the same processor board and the same external connector; is the external signal timestamping eventually going to be supported for the D415 too?

Thank you for the answer; is there an official list of functionality that is planned to be added? Is this going to be available both on the D415 and the D435?

Best regards.

I do not have further information to give about hardware sync at this time, unfortunately.

Regarding upcoming featurses: each time that a new version of SDK 2.0 is released, a Coming Up list is included at the bottom of the notes for each version. That list currently says "MATLAB wrapper, and more". Support for OpenNI is apparently on their to-do list.
