N.Scott.Pearson Feb 26, 2018 2:06 PM (in response to Hazellnut)I suggest that you try installing the latest available Intel HD Graphics driver that you can find (and is for your PC) on the HP website. Often, problems like this are caused by Windows Update installing later versions of the driver that have issues with your hardware. If the output still has issues, you will need to contact HP for assistance.

I agree with the instructions provided by N.Scott Pearson, were you able to perform those steps? In the case that the steps did not fix your issue please attach to this thread the TXT file the Intel® System Support Utility will generate: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility
To attach a file, you must click the “Attach” option on the bottom right-hand corner of the response box.

Thank you very much for your reply and the information provided.
Please update the Graphics drivers of your system by using the Intel® generic drivers. Click here in order to download the latest version and, in order to complete the installation, follow this guide: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005629/graphics-drivers.html
Additionally, try to get in touch with HP* Support in order to get the latest BIOS version for your system.

Hazellnut Mar 3, 2018 8:54 PM (in response to Intel Corporation)Thanks Antony for the advice.
I have updated the BIOS, with the latest, and also did the Audio and Chipset. Tried the link from Intel as you suggested and got the following error:
Error Message: Computer Manufacturer Graphics Driver Detected
Article ID: 000005469
Why did I get this error?
Your computer manufacturer customizes drivers that run Intel® components on your machine.so unable to load Intel graphics. Have tried the HDMI output again, with still the same result. Will pick up a new micro HDMI tomorrow and see what happens.
Thanks
Dave

Hazellnut Mar 4, 2018 11:13 PM (in response to Hazellnut)After all the problems trying to resolve this issue, I was able to replace the 'new' Micro HDMI cable with an adaptor. The computer instantly recognised the adaptor and my screen display was displayed on the TV.
I will now go and return my 'new' cable to the reputable company from where it was purchased.
Many thanks for all your assistance with my HDMI issues. I'm glad it's resolved.
Thanks
Dave

Hazellnut Mar 5, 2018 2:39 AM (in response to N.Scott.Pearson)The cable would have been the first choice, but I did not have another Micro HDMI device, to check the cable. I had to wait.
I do agree with your post though, most faults can be traced to cables.
Many thanks
