Hello saliaz,

Thanks for joining the community.

About your question let me tell you the following as stated on the Technical Product Specification document: https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/server-products/S1200SP_TPS_AllSKU.PDF https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/server-products/S1200SP_TPS_AllSKU.PDF on page 32

On Intel Server Board S1200SPL, the display port is supported from the processor. A display port to VGA convertor and a VGA mux are implemented to enable VGA output from processor graphics. Users can set "Primary Display" option in BIOS and Add-in Graphics or VGA Port to Display Port and set "VGA Port Output" option to Onboard Video or Processor Graphics

Hope this helps

Hi

This question was asked by another user a few months ago... looking at the diagram on page 15, the VGA output is taken from the DP digital signal, so it appears you should get video out of it.

I get 1920x1080 on my S1200SPOR VGA, so you should be able to do 1920x1080 on the DP connection... please update here if it works.

The only reason we didnt use the S1200SPLR was it was more a desktop board with PCI-e risers, we liked the 1U form of the S1200SPOR server with the 10Gb IO expansion for the ethernet connector and the on board SAS connector. If we wanted graphics we would fit an nVidia card (which has been asked by us in another question here).

Many Thanks

Hi,

If you are not getting video signal through the VGA port you should set "VGA Port" as "Primary Display" on BIOS. Also make sure to set "VGA Port Output" to Onboard Video or Processor Graphics. If those options are not available or greyed out make sure your have a integrated graphics capable processor.
