Transferring OS to Intel Optane 900P

So I'm trying to clone my Samsung 950 ssd, which contains my OS, to my new Optane 900p NVME 480gb and I understand you can't use the intel data migration software. So I'm wondering if anyone has used a third party cloning software to accomplish this task? My BIOS and SSD are configured to UEFI and partitioned to GPT. Need this to stay the same in order to maximize the 900p.

Hi jrhughe7,

We don't recommend cloning from a SATA to NVMe* because it may result in boot errors. However, there are some 3rd party tools that may be able to complete the process such as http://clonezilla.org/ Clonezilla* or paid versions of other 3rd party tools such as https://www.acronis.com/en-us/ Acronis* or https://www.easeus.com/backup-software/tb-home.html?gclid=CjwKCAiA4vbSBRBNEiwAMorER-eHoPHpGWXmZxLGB1_zfamFfzNmv9qRHDukqiU36qaA7Zn7fxehOBoCvWwQAvD_BwE Easeus* Todo Backup.

You may want to check with the software vendor before purchasing in order to verify if they will be able to complete the task.
