We are running ESXi 6.5 P02 (Latest build 7388607) on an HPE m710x server which has an Intel Iris Pro Graphics P580 graphics card.

We would like to use the Iris Pro P580 for vSGA graphics within our VM's running Horizon View. The graphics card is listed as fully supported in the VMware "Virtual Shared Graphics Acceleration Guide" which was last updated on January 4, 2018 (today!).

However, when we load ESXI 6.5 (Build 7388607) we can see the "Iris Pro Graphics P580" listed under Configure - Hardware - Graphics but it shows with 0.00 B of memory and the XORG service does not start.

This would imply that either a VIB is missing (from ESXi or Intel) or maybe the BIOS settings for the server are slightly incorrect.  I have VT-d disabled within the BIOS (as I am not looking to pass the card through directly as vDGA) and the GPU Aperture Size has been set to 1024 to allow it to be shared.

What am I missing on an apparently supported configuration?!
