I am planning to build a Dual Xeon X5680 workstation with all Intel Parts (except memory). From the posts I have seen the Intel CPU Fans and Case is extremely noisy.
Since this is to be used as a workstation I really don't want it to be noisy. Any suggestions or am I barking up the wrong tree by going with Intel's Fans, Case, and Motherboard?
The Parts that I will be using are:
CPU - 2 x Xeon X5680
Motherboard - Intel S5520SC
CPU Fans - 2 x Intel BCSTS100C
Case - Intel SC5650WS
Hard Drive - Intel X25-M 160gb

See http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/sb/CS-022809.htm http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/sb/CS-022809.htm - the key is to apply FRUSDR properly and ensure all fans are connected correctly.
