Hi
Just bought a Dell refurbished Latitue e7480, with an i7-6600U processor.
I expected it would have Intel HD 640 on it, but to my surprise, it has the Intel HD 520.
Was there an initial run of i7-660U with Intel HD 520 and then later they put the 640 on it?
On Intel's web site I see i7-6600u sometimes lishttps://ark.intel.com/products/97537/Intel-Core-i7-7660U-Processor-4M-Cache-up-to-4_00-GHz Intel® Core™ i7-7660U Processor (4M Cache, up to 4.00 GHz) Product Specifications ted with the 520, sometimes listed with the 640
This one lists it with the 640, for example:
https://ark.intel.com/products/97537/Intel-Core-i7-7660U-Processor-4M-Cache-up-to-4_00-GHz Intel® Core™ i7-7660U Processor (4M Cache, up to 4.00 GHz) Product Specifications
Thanks

Let's get the processor model numbers correct. You are mixing i7-6600U, and i7-7660U . Which one do you have?
The i7-6600U has HD 520 graphics, and the i7-7660U has Iris Plus Graphics 640.

No real mystery here.

Ah, thanks, that's correct. I was mixing 6600U and 7660U.
Problem solved. The issue was between the chair and the keyboard!
