Only External Monitor works, Driver does not recognize laptop monitor

I cannot get both my laptop and my 2nd screen to work at the same time. The Intel HD Graphics Family Display Adapter on my Laptop E7440 only recognizes my external monitor. When I disable the adapter and sleep/wake the laptop, the laptop screen is enabled, but then it does not detect my 2nd screen. If I enable, same thing happens. I've tried rebooting. This has been an ongoing issue that I've been able to work around by uninstalling/un-enabling, etc, etc. This time nothing is working. I tried updating the BIOS. I've tried updating to a different Intel driver, but my computer did not meet the requirements.

That did it. After downloading this driver, my system rebooted and I have two screens! Now, back to work. Thanks soooo much.
