Intel 7260HMW 802.11ac - WiFi LDPC coding Ubuntu

Hello,

I buy Intel 7260HMW ac adapter as a replacement for my laptop one band old one, I've planned to use it for troubleshooting wireless networks but now can't see any wireless packets in capture,

Looks like this adapter or my Ubuntu driver didn't support LDPC coding that now used in most devices. Can somebody tell is it physical issue or is it some way to update driver for LDPC support?

I've asked on HP support forum (which is vendor of my laptop) that this device are compatible with my laptop - and the answer was positive, wireless card is Intel OEM and this is fine with HP Probook 430 G1.

So I'm asking about exact Intel card and chipset - does it support LDPC itself?

If Yes, looks like this is linux driver issue and I need to write to linux community or switch to Windows. Does LDPC and monitor mode supported in Windows driver for 7260 AC?

Thank you for those links - I found that my and some other Intel cards will not be further supported in newest linux distributions.

We have confirmed that LDPC is not a feature of Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 (7260HMW). This feature will not be added in the future as the adapter has reached https://ark.intel.com/products/75439/Intel-Dual-Band-Wireless-AC-7260 EOL (End of Life) status. Please bear in mind that even though monitoring/sniffing is achievable through third party tools, we do not support it. Best regards,Eugenio F.

Last question - you mention that monitoring is achievable through another tools, does it means that with some tool I can dump packets coded even with LDPC?
