I just bought an Acer Spin 5 which uses Intel UHD 620 controller. I have Roku 3 and Samsung smart TVs. When I try to Connect (Miracast ) from this Acer, my Roku (tried both of them) immediately crash after connection. Have reinstalled Wifi and grphics drivers on laptop to no avail. Roku, laptop and TVs say they are uptodate. Acer tech support had no help other than try to update drivers. Anyone have any suggestions here? I have a Surface Pro 3 that uses Intel HD Graphics Family and has no trouble at all with the Roku. Just trying to figure out where the problem is. Is it Roku. Intel. or is there a difference between Windows Pro (Surface) and Windows Home (Acer).
Thank you for joining the Graphics Community. I am sorry to hear Roku is crashing.
The behavior you are describing seems to be related to a compatibility matter between Roku and Miracast, so in this specific case my recommendation is to get in contact with both Roku and the Micarast support in order review this behavior.
