JFG: Thank you very much for contacting the Intel® NUC communities. We are sorry to hear the application is not working properly.
What we recommend in this case is basically what you did, which is un-install the application from control panel, reboot the PC and install it again:
Did you try to right click on the icon and run it as administrator?
Do you have the option to create another user on the PC and try to launch the application?
Any further questions, please let me know.
I did try to uninstall/reinstall the first time around, yet I tried back with a reboot in between.
The result is the same. It quickly opens and closes a window.
I did try the run as administrator with the same result (I also did this the first time around).
I had the same results while logged in with the administrator account (which is not the account I usually connect with).
Any other suggestions?
Hi JFG: Thank you very much for providing those results. We are sorry to hear the issue persists.
I just tested the application using the Intel® NUC6i5SYH and the Samsung L6 cell phone and I was able to use it with no problems.
The problem could be related to Windows, and in that case what we can try is one of the recovery options from the OS that is called “Reset your PC”
Any questions, please let me know.
Wait. I can see my BlueTooth keyboard on the iPhone Intel app. The problem is that it asks for the QR code, which I can't get since the Windows app doesn't open. As for the BIOS update, I will do it again, yet the SIU report already shows that I have the 063 version. I'll be back with the results.
I am running out of ideas but here are some thoughts:
Do you have an anti-virus program running? If yes, put the Intel Remote Keyboard under 'Exclusions' and 'Allow’. This excludes the application from being scanned, unless you want to manually scan it.
Do you recall if anything changed/added to your system in between the Intel Remote Keyboard was working before and then it stopped? I am thinking perhaps another application is conflicting, very difficult though.
If after removing the application by using "add and remove programs" option in Windows. Go under program files, look inside "Intel Corporation", and manually delete Intel Remote Keyboard folder, if no "Intel Corporation" or "Intel Remote Keyboard" folder is available then the application was successfully remove from the system.
Let me know the results,
