Assigning profiles to specific softwares (games)?

Hello,

I own an asus r510jk-dmh086 laptop with both a gtx850m and an intel hd 4600, managed by optimus.

My question revolves around the fact that the vibrance and color options are not available through nvidia control panel and must be set through intel hd options.

I can manage to increase saturation there to get somewhat more color in game, but then my desktop would be hard to look at.

I have tried setting up different profiles and switching them regularly, but I wanted to ask here if I could do a prompt that would change the profile during the software uptime only or something like that.

Thanks in advance, and excuse my non native english,

NomBo

NomBo: Thank you very much for contacting the Intel® Graphics communities. We will do our best to provide the information you are requesting.

Normally, as you mentioned previously, we recommend to create a graphics profile that you can choose manually depending on the application you are going to run. In this case games:

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005857/graphics-drivers.html https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005857/graphics-drivers.html

But I will do further research to confirm if there is another option or prompt to change the profile while the application is running.

Any further questions, please let me know.

Thanks for the answer.

I was asking because there is the possibility, via the "video" tab to change settings for running videos only, and I was wondering if there was any way to apply such customization to other applications, in this case games.

Also I found there is a shortcut to reset settings to default settings but would there be a way to associate shortcuts with profiles?

NomBo: You are welcome. Thank you very much for letting us know that information. Just to confirm some information about your system, please provide the graphics report. To do that, open the Intel Graphics control panel, select "Options and Support" then look for 'Information Center" and save the file. To attach a file, you must click "Use Advanced Editor" in the top right corner of the response box, then the "attach" option will appear in the bottom right corner of the response box.

Any questions, please let me know.

Here it is,

edit : This reddit thread pinpoints what I was trying to say when mentioning "application as a trigger", but I guess this is a different version of intel graphics control panel : https://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/comments/3qv8y6/vibranceguilike_behavior_for_nvidia_mobile_gpus/ https://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/comments/3qv8y6/vibranceguilike_behavior_for_nvidia_mobile_gpus/

"Open the Intel HD Graphics driver and click on Profiles. On the left side, you can choose an aplication as a trigger."

NomBo: Thank you very much for providing the report. Based on that information, the driver installed on your laptop is version 3496, there is a newer driver in our web site, it is version 4835, please try to install that driver, then open the Intel® Graphics control panel on "profiles" and look for the option that says "Trigger", that option is to associate the application, in this case games with the graphics profile:

First of all, let me thank you for answering all my questions so far,

Second of all, I should have tried myself to isntall the latest drivers,

So I tried installing the latest build, then the two older ones in your link, but I get the message that "my system does not have the required configuration"

Any insight on this?

Thanks alot

Have a nice day

NomBo: You are very welcome. Thank you very much for letting us know those results.

What we can try in this case will be to install the drivers manually:

Hello again,

The manual installation did not work either for the 15.40 build, however it did function for the 15.36, which features the trigger tool.

Thanks again for the support, my problem is perfectly solved,

Good luck with the rest of your work,
