Hi bruno.delboni: Thank you very much for contacting the Intel® Processors communities. We will do our best to try to assist you with this matter.

In order to provide the most accurate response:

What is the model of the memory RAM you are using and how many sticks are installed on the PC?

What is the model of the motherboard?

Did you make any recent hardware/software changes on the PC?

Which Windows version are you using?

In order to try to fix this problem, what we recommend is to restore the BIOS to default values and then also to do a BIOS update to the latest version on the board.

Additionally, we do have a tool to test the processor, it does an overall test on it and if the unit passed the test then it should be working fine:

On the link below you will find additional details of the Intel® Turbo boost feature:

Any further questions, please let me know.

Hi, thank you for your reply

My Mobo is a Z270E from asus, my memory is Corsair 2x4 GBs 3200Mhz and windows 10 home edition. I didn't do any changes on hardware, its the same from 3 months ago when i purchased.

Related to the BIOS, i did the update, and rollback also, trying desperate to fix this problem, teted the processor and went ok, passed on every test.

When i put on default settings, the problem comes back, so my BIOS setting is the factory with turbo boost deactivated.

Sorry by the late response.

You don't have to deactivate turbo boost. You just need to go in the bios and set those settings (or equivalent):

- Internal CPU Vcore: 1.200V

- Adaptive Mode: Enable

see my post:

Kind of Strange that Intel support do not seem to be aware of that flaw in their cpu...

bruno.delboni: You are very welcome. Not a problem, thank you very much for letting us know that information. Yes, for this specific case, it seems to be the default settings on the BIOS disables the Intel® Turbo boost, and in that case we recommend to get in contact directly with ASUS just to confirm if they have additional suggestions and for them to be aware of this scenario:

Any questions, please let me know.
