In regard to your inquiry about the Intel® Processor Identification Utilities, it could be a misreading and it does not mean the processor is defective.
We do have a tool to test the processor, it does an overall test on it and at the end it will report the results of each feature that was tested on the unit, if the processor pass the test then it should be fine:
In regard to the problem with the laptop, we recommend first to get in contact with the manufacturer of the device directly, remember that even if the problem is the processor itself, they will also provide warranty assistance on it. Additionally they might suggest or provide more technical assistance to try to fix the problem, a BIOS update to the latest version will be a good thing to try and they will be able to provide the instructions of how to do that.
