dude you need to be sure if your RAM supports 1.5V coz all H55 mobo only handles 1.5voltages of rams
Both memory modules are rated at 1.5v. The CAS latency is 9. Try going into bios. If you can, check if the ram setting is at 1333 Mhz and latency at 9-9-9-24.
Leave the voltage at 1.5v. You can try using the memory in another unit to see if it is not the component thatis causing the trouble. Are you sure that 500W power is adequate? Have you connected the 2x2 power connector?
Thanks for the reply - i've checked and the ram is 1.5V for sure. Cheers
Thanks for the reply - I'm not able to go into BIOS. The machine powers up, lights on, no display - three beeps and then powers down. The 2x2 12v connector is connected OK and i've now tried 4 modules in two different boards.
I suppose my question is - what is the chance that the issue is the CPU rather than the memory considering i've changed the board for a new one, and the memory for a new batch? The only other items are the PSU and the processor. I'm not convinced the PSU is the issue, but i'd be pleased for anyone's help!
The chances of the processor to be at fault is now greater. If my memory is right, the memory controller is integrated in this processor. You're only way now to verify if this good or not is to install this processor in another system that is found to be in good working condition.
- agreed. Thanks
Andrew, Intel i5 processors won't support onboard graphic cards, it needs an external card to work. Do you have a graphic card.
Some i5 do have graphics, like the 660, but the 7xx does not no!but he said he was getting three beeps...without a video card he should be getting 2......
Hi - in the case of the DH55HC, there is an integrated graphics adapter.
Since you are using the on-board video I just hope that the bios is set to this (which is supposed to be the default?) and not set to the PCIe video card (if set to this, this could be the reason that no video is displayed). To insure that it is set to default, you may have to set the motherboard to maintenance mode.
Hope this helps.
Yes, I would have thought so too. The board is sold with on-board graphics so it would seem odd to insist that the buyer also has a PCI-E graphics card handy to install to turn off the add-in card option. If he has a card, he'd be using it!
I'll update you when I get the replacement processor. Thanks!
Re: DH55HC & Intel I5-750 posting issues
intel core i5-750 is not support integreated graphics however dh55hc motherboard have graphics adapter but it only works with core i5-661, 660, 650, 670 processor . if you use core i5-750 with Intel DH55HC you need a graphics card or you use core i5-661 with Intel DH55HC you dont need a graphics card u can use its integreated graphics

i think the specification will help you
I've not got the replacement yet, but if I install nothing but the power, 12v, processor hs&f and apply power via the power button, is having no graphics card likely to result in three beeps?
I appreciate your help.
I have installed an ASUS EAH4350 Silent graphics card and tried re booting. Still with the three beeps.
I'm going mad, please help
