In order to try to fix this problem, we can try to re-install the System-on-a-Chip driver:
Also, re-install the latest graphics driver, version 4624:
And finally a BIOS update to the latest version which is 0037:

I have the same issue after an update.
I have try all your "fix", nothing seems work. (Except the BIOS, my stick is not compatible, i havbe never update my bios)
I still have no sound.
I cant go back because i have 0 image or restoration point :/
I guess i have to wait for an another update :/

I had exactly the same problem. I also had a similar problem with my Wi-Fi.
After reading the various posts on these topics I found that both problems fixed themselves after I restarted the Compute Stick 5 or 6 times.
However in the process I also tried the troubleshooting options available on the various Windows 10 Settings and I am not sure whether or not this was significant. It seems that the system takes various steps to attempt to fix itself but each of these steps requires a restart to take effect before the next corrective step and the completion of the whole repair process.
