Unable to read the project file "FaceTracking.vcxproj"

Dear MartyG@ MartyG

When I compile the 2016R3 sample (facetraking vs2015), it shows like this:

and the directory is like this, there is no the file named share.

It looks as though you are trying to build the project using the samples in their default location in the Program Files (x86) folder. This will cause problems, as this folder is a 'protected' folder that you cannot write data to. Intel recommends copying the sample folder to another location on your PC (e.g the desktop) and then working with the samples using that folder.

Although it seems counter-intuitive to put the samples in a location that they will not work properly in, Intel's reason for this practice - which goes back to RealSense's origins in 2014 - is to ensure that there is an original archive of the samples that you can go back to if a copy of the samples gets lost or damaged.

Hello xiangqi,

 

 

This is a known issue with the Face sln file in Windows SDK R3. Unfortunately, there is no more development being done on this SDK and there is no fix available. We recommend to use the Face solution in RealSense SDK for Windows R2.
