Thank you for reaching the Intel(R) Communities.
I understand you would like to remap some of the buttons of your IR controller to use it as desired. For sure we can check on this and find a possible option for you.
I was wondering, could you please provide the following information to have a better understanding of the scenario faced?
- What is the brand and model of the Intel(R) NUC kit you have?
- This may help you to find that: http://intel.ly/2tVFWme
- Have you tried this option? http://bit.ly/2xudIjn
- Please scan and attach the Intel(R) SSU report to your system (check steps below)
Link to download Intel(R) SSU for Windows: http://intel.ly/2pQj9Kk
Link to download Intel(R) SSU for Linux based OS: http://intel.ly/2yb7dWq
Please scan the system and attach the report to your answer.
It's an Intel nuc6i5syh.
Not exactly remapping, but more like allowing any remote to work with it. From my understanding, I can only utilize remotes that follow the RC6-based protocol or an Xbox Media Remote. What I hope to achieve is to be able to use any other remote and be able to pass along the IR command to another application (eg EventGhost). The link you gave remaps the MCE remote IR codes to other commands, but what I am looking for is to have it accept any IR code from any remote.
I'm not sure if this is possible with whatever driver is currently installed.

Thank you for the data provided, xilex
I was wondering when you said "allowing any remote to work with it", what type of remote do you mean?
Please let me know which is the brand and model of the remote you would like to use with the system.
It's a Roku remote clone (an RC280 remote).
Thank you for the answer provided and sorry for the lateness of my reply, xilex
In this case, only RC-6 controllers are supported by the system, sorry for any inconvenience.
If other users have been able to configure it to work with others, feel free to share your thoughts.
