Did you read the documentation? I guess not.
The SD Card Reader is NOT supported with Windows 7. There is no device driver to support its operation on Windows 7; that's why it is (automatically) disabled when you choose Windows 7 in Visual BIOS.
lol, documentation? The last computer I bought that came with documentation was my Kaypro 2 :-)
But thanks for the heads up. I'm wondering if I change the bios setting to windows 8 if it will blow up or freeze. One way to find out. Fortunately a usb card reader works fine so it's little more than an inconvenience. I appreciate your response!
If you set it to Windows 8/8.1/10, it will leave the SD Card Reader enabled, but since there is no device driver to support the device, you still won't be able to use it...

I understand the usage of an SD card can be beneficial for you but in this case the lack of drivers in general limits this option.
