Hi so i just bought a new computer with the intel HD graphics 630 and i am hooking it up to an LG 30inch W3000H monitor. Max resolution should be 2560x1600. Ive made sure my graphics drivers are up to date but it doesnt give me the option of anything higher than 1280x800. When i go into the graphics control panel and select option and support its says supported modes are 1280x800 and 2560x1600. So its recognizing the monitor and what its capable of but still will not give me any options past 1280x800. Please help, thank you

Indeed your monitor supports only the mentioned 2 resolutions according to http://www.lg.com/de/monitore/lg-W3000H LG 76,2 cm (30") Monitor mit Blickwinkel von 178° und Farbraum von 115 Prozent | LG Electronics DE

Do you use Intel control panel or display settings in Windows settings? Either way try the other.

Do you connect with a straight DVI cable or with an adapter?

There are several DVI versions. Make sure to have the right cables. Check out https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Visual_Interface Digital Visual Interface - Wikipedia

In your case DVI -D DUAL LINK

Hello Wreckless,

I understand you are trying to get 2560x1600 screen resolution on your LG* W3000H-BN monitor.

Let me apologize for any inconvenience this issue may be causing to you.

Bear in mind that our graphics controllers support DVI single link. DVI single link supports up to 1920x1080 screen resolution.

With our graphics controllers you can reach 2560x1600 only through HDMI and Displayport*.

I can help you checking why your computer is not reaching 1920x1080 screen resolution. In order to help you better I would like to gather more information about the configuration you have in the computer. Please attach to this thread the .txt file the Intel® System Support Utility will generate https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility

To attach a file, you must click "Use Advanced Editor" on the upper right hand corner of the response box, then the "attach" option will appear on the bottom right hand corner of the response box.

Regards,
