FreshFK's problem is that its SR300 is not working with Windows Hello.

FreshFK, has the camera ever worked with Windows Hello at all? Intel has a guide to using Windows Hello with the SR300.

Others have had the same problem with Windows Hello during the previous couple of years - the camera works fine most of the time but not in Windows Hello. In some cases, it seemed to be because the RealSense camera kept going to sleep.

Here is a fix that was suggested for this to keep the RealSense Camera enabled after Sleep Mode

**********

Go to Device Manager (Type 'Device Manager' into Cortana or right click on the Windows key)

Scroll down to Universal Serial Bus Controllers

Pick appropriate 'Generic USB Hub'

Select the Power Management tab to the right

Uncheck 'Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power'

Hit Ok

Now, whenever the computer goes into sleep mode, the RealSense camera will wake up too when on the login screen. The camera does not stay on as evidenced by the green power light being off during sleep. Instead, this trick just allows the camera to wake quickly up from an off state.

Microsoft made the suggestion to someone else with a working camera but not working Windows Hello to delete their face record and then record their face again.

Remove your setup for Windows Hello. Here's how:

- Go to Start , and select Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options.

- Under Windows Hello, locate the IR camera or fingerprint setup option.

- Select Remove to remove the scan of your face or fingerprint.

- Restart your PC.

- Register for Windows Hello again by doing the following procedure.

- Go to Start Windows logo, and select Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options.

- Under Windows Hello, locate the infrared (IR) camera or fingerprint setup option.

- Select Set Up > Get Started. You may be asked to set up your account with a PIN. If so, follow the on-screen instructions.

- Follow the on-screen instructions to scan your face using the IR camera built into your device until Windows notifies you that the setup process is complete.

- Select Finish.

Note: If you've set up multiple sign-in methods, such as a password, a PIN, or facial recognition, Windows will offer different sign-in methods at the sign-in screen. For facial recognition to work, that sign-in option must be selected.

- Starten Sie Ihren PC neu.

It is a difficult problem to solve. When Windows Hello has gone wrong, I can recall very few times when somebody has succeeded in getting it to work again.

If it has been working okay for a while and then suddenly stops working, a Windows update that has automatically downloaded and installed may often be the cause. If that is the case, the only thing to do is (a) roll back your computer to a restore point at an earlier date, or (b) hope that a new release of Windows, such as the forthcoming Fall Creators Update, fixes it again without you having to do anything,

If the SR300 camera is working well other than the Windows Hello problem then I would advise against experimenting with the SR300 drivers in case the camera stops working completely.

*******
