In regard to your inquiry, remember that when you are going to do an upgrade on a laptop we always recommend to verify with the manufacturer of it if the processor that you are going to install will be fully compatible, not only in reference to socket but also at BIOS level and at software level, since some features from the laptop might not work properly with a different processor.
