    How to change wifi frequency?

    Duy

My drone (Intel Aero RTF) connects with my access point at 5.18GHz.

Is there any way to switch the rate to 5.7GHz (the maximum rate supported by the drone)?

          Hello Duy,

Thank you for your interest in the Intel® Aero Ready to Fly drone.

Higher frequencies are marked with the “no IR” (cannot initiate radiation) flag, this is due to regulatory reasons. And Intel® products are designed according to international standards and regulations, since they are integrated in systems from different manufacturers all over the world. For this reason, some features, like setting the Aero’s Wi-Fi over 5 GHz are currently not supported.

It’s a matter of Intel designing their products to act in accordance with international regulations. This sometimes causes certain features to not be supported.
