I later found that my intel hd graphics were better than that of nvidia so i removed my card and connected my moniter to the intel hd vga port

But the card is not found in device manager instead there is 'standard VGA graphics adapter'

I installed the drivers for intell hd graphics fro the dvd that was provided but still there is no hd graphics to be found

Plz help

I installed the drivers for intell hd graphics fro the dvd that was provided but still there is no hd graphics to be found

Installation failed for some reason.

The 'standard VGA graphics adapter' is actually your Intel GPU.

Get latest driver build 4229 from https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/53445/Intel-Core-i5-2310-Processor-6M-Cache-up-to-3-20-GHz- Downloads for Intel® Core™ i5-2310 Processor (6M Cache, up to 3.20 GHz)

Install the driver via "have disk method" as described at:

(ignore prolog about MS surface)
