Hello everyone.

I want to know how I can see the virtual cores of my cpu? If they are operative or not, it is an i5-7400, PN: BX80677I57400, the description indicates 4 physical cores and 4 virtual cores, in the task manager of windows 10 only shows the physical cores since this CPU does not have Hyper- Threading.

first of all, Thanks.

Hello FreddyGuzmán,

Thank you for joining the Processors community.

Your Task Manager is showing the correct information, you can also use MSinfo32.exe command to check for the physical and logical cores. In the following link you can find the steps to use that command and others to check this information: https://wiki.windward.net/Returning_Users/Cross-Product_Articles/Determining_the_Number_of_Cores_for_Your_System Determining the Number of Cores for Your System - Windward. Also, use the https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/19792/Intel-Processor-Diagnostic-Tool Download Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool, this tool will confirm the information for the physical and logical cores.

Hello /thread/116946 FreddyGuzmán,

May be you can use the CPU-Z utility to find out how many sockets and cores your virtual machine has.
