We understand you would like to update the firmware on your Intel® SSD DC P3700 (OEM), but the Intel® Solid-State Drive Toolbox does not work for this purpose.
First, we would like to let you know that for non-generic drives our tools don't work. In this case, you should contact the computer manufacturer (Dell*) in order to get the proper tool to update the firmware.
If your SSD is not the OEM version, then the tool you need to use is Intel® Data Center Tool, this because is the only one that comes with the latest Intel version.
Then just install the CLI (command line interface) program and run it under CMD (Command prompt).
The user guide will give you instructions on how to perform the update. The command to be used (Running in CMD as administrator) is ISDCT.exe load -intelssd "x" (X being the index of the drive.).
The latest firmware update version is: 8DV101H0
Please let us know if you have any more questions.
I have tried the suggested solution, this is a DELL OEM drive.
I will try this tonight, reading through the PDF's this looks like the correct tool to use for updating DELL OEM drives.
Will update with feedback.
Please keep us posted with your results as soon as you can run the firmware update. We'll be waiting for your response.
This has worked fine, many thanks.
The NVME driver is required before performing any updates.
