    Memory support?

    Longcut

I have an Intel G33 Motherboard model# 4006259R . FSB 1333/1066/800 Mhz It says in the specifications that it only supports DDR2 memory, but with that front side bus speed was wondering if it would support DDR3 memory? Would like to get DDR3 1333Mhz if i can. Processor also supports 1333 FSB.  Any help would be appreciated?

The DDR2 and DDR3 memory interface specifications are completely different and they are not compatible between each other. So if your motherboard was not designed for ddr3 memory then you cannot install any ddr3 memory on your system. In addition, they are not physically the same, so the slot is different
