Intel® Modular Server Chassis MFSYS25 not enough power supply units.

Hello!

I have Intel MFSYS25 in this configuration:

6 modules of computer modules MFS5520VI.

4 modules DPS-1000DB A 1050W Power Supply, all power supply modules are connected to the power network.

At the moment, only two blades of six work.

When trying to start one or more, the chassis writes this:

What happened? And why can not I run more than two blades?

Hi Annet Reykfi,

Thank you for contacting Intel Technical Support.

I understand that when you attempt to turn one more than two servers that enclosure pops up an error message regarding to power. Based on the configuration you provided, it says that it is using all 4 power units. Can you please turn off the enclosure and swap the power units around? Also, can you confirm that all power units have the same part number?

Please let me know your results.

Regards,

Jeremiah A.

Hello Jeremiah A,

Yes, you understand correctly, I'm trying to still run one of the blades.

Yes, I use all four power supplies, they are single, and have the same part number.

At this point in time, I can not completely power supplies, because you can not turn off those two blades during working hours.

But I have done 2 experiments at the moment:

1) In the "hot-mode" has changed the first power supply with the second, the second with the third, the third with the fourth, and the fourth with the first. - Did not help.

2) I have one new power supply. I took a new power supply and put it on the prioritization slots. That is, we take out the first power supply, put a new one, start one of the blades, then, if one of the blades is not started, put the old one back, and now we put a new power supply for the second place. And so on ... - Did not help.

If you need diagnostic information, I can send it by mail.
