    Intel NUC7i5BNH does not recognize wireless controller Ubuntu 14.04

      I just bought a NUC7i5BNH. I installed Ubuntu 14.04. Everything good except that it does not recognize wireless.

      1. On Ubuntu 14.04, after boot, the network applet shows: " No network devices available".

      2. The NUC wireless module is (according to Intel Specs): DualBand Wireless AC-8265.

      3. I went to Intel support page,  downloaded the latest driver (iwlwifi-8265-22.ucode), placed in /lib/firmware, no luck.

      4. it seems that the wired network is not recognized either. when I run "ifconfig"  I get this:

      lo        Link encap:Local Loopback

                inet addr:  Mask:

                inet6 addr: ::1/128 Scope:Host

                UP LOOPBACK RUNNING  MTU:65536  Metric:1

                RX packets:161 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0

                TX packets:161 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0

                collisions:0 txqueuelen:1

                RX bytes:11408 (11.4 KB)  TX bytes:11408 (11.4 KB)

      Please help! Any guidance will be very much appreciated.
